Crafts and the Disabled
This book has projects and instructional advice for integrating this into a program for special needs adults. Disabled in the context of this book is meant to cover anyone with some kind of challenge. Unfortunately, this lumps everyone into a large group regardless of their specific need. I am quite sure adaptations for someone with vision issues is going to benefit from same craft project as someone with arthritic hands.
The narration and photography are unhelpful to anyone trying to make a particular craft. This book reminds of a similar title we posted a while ago about crafts for the elderly. These books that supposedly target a particular audience fail regardless of one’s abilities or disabilities because they are just ugly and uninteresting.
