Teens in the Family Way

Coping with an Unplanned Pregnancy
Simpson
1999

Submitter: I didn’t scan any of the pages, because the book actually has some really good information – it’s well organized and the topics thoroughly and thoughtfully explain what needs to be covered for teens in this situation. The problem is that no teen will get past the cover. That cover…

Holly: The cover is definitely dated. Good thing she’s wearing glasses or she’d have to put the pee stick even closer to her face to read the results! Even if the information is great, 16 years is a long time to keep something like this on the shelf. This was found in a high school library, and my guess is that the kids won’t actually check a book like this out. They will hide in the corner and leaf through it unseen, so it is extra important that the information be as up to date and relevant to the kids reading it as possible.
