Spinning the “oldies” but goodies…

How to Become a Radio Disc Jockey
Fisher
1971

Yeah, another radio d.j. book for your consideration.  After I found the one posted here, I came across this one.  I was shocked that it was as late as 1971.  It really looks a lot older.  To cap off a perfect find,  it is also complete with yellowing tape repairs throughout.  Yet here it is 2011 and available for check out at an unnamed public library’s teen career collection! I would also like to point out that when I graduated from high school this book was too old.

I know I whine about this so often, but really, is it that difficult to go weed career materials?

  • Yes, the book should go, but it’s interesting to note that the comments on making a good impression at an interview still have validity.

  • The part about ‘mannish attire’ amused me, but fair comment about wearing distracting jewellery and perfume still holds today.

Does having shiny shoes help you be a DJ, though?
