Sex is More Than a Plumbing Lesson

Sex is More Than a Plumbing Lesson: A Parents’ Guide to Sexuality Education for Infants Through the Teen Years
Stark
1990

Submitter: This book is  pretty corny. Being 25 years old, it lacking any of the new issues facing kids when it comes to sex (i.e. sexting). I would have loved a few sexual plumbing jokes in this book. Now that would have been a good read.

Holly: Meh. I’ve seen worse, but I agree that to be most effective, these kinds of books need to be fairly current. They should cover sexting, for sure!

  • Sex IS more than a plumbing lesson–There’s hammering, nailing and screwing as well…

  • Uh huh…
And what health class have YOU been attending, young lady?

  • This looks like it was a great book in 1990. However, the kids who would have been helped by their parents reading the ‘infants and toddlers’ section when the book was released likely now have kids of their own!

  • I really like the analogy on the back cover. If business consultants gave advice like some parents… no one would ever have children. The cost/benefit analysis is too full of poorly-understood variables.
