Yet another refugee from a youth biography section.  This time it’s the NEW women. I am sure all the women featured will be thrilled to learn of their relative “newness”. (I guess Katharine Graham can’t comment since she died in 2001).  This title for 1976 young women looking for role models is a decent choice, in 2012, not so much. Although the text is reasonable, the pictures and layout are annoying. I think the publisher was trying to give it a “hip” look for the kids. The photos come off dark and have really icky color washes.

As I was a teenager in the 1970s, I did enjoy the trip down memory lane with these ladies.
