The Reggie White Touch Football Playbook
Winning Plays, Rules and Safety Tips
White and Reid
1992
This one is from my own library. Based on the cover alone, I say weeder. Yeah, that sounds unfair. In reality, this is actually a good book and solid information. I asked my resident football expert (my husband) about Reggie White. Of course, he is a solid player and a Philadelphia Eagle back in the late 80s and early 90s. (The discussion then quickly disintegrated into a rather heated analysis of the Detroit Lions, punctuated with a bunch of unsavory language.)
This book is targeted at young people, so Reggie White isn’t necessarily on their radar, especially in Metro Detroit. This book’s cover looks dated and no one has checked it out in over 9 years. Yes, this one is my mistake. I own it. It is weeded now. Everyone move along. Nothing to see here.

I am very afraid for the dude with glasses on the cover. It looks like Reggie White is going to either smother him or drag him off to his cave to devour him like prey….
The graphics are painful to look at.
LOOK BEHIND YOU!
I liked him when he was a Packer (after this book was published; reason enough to weed), and I would argue he rose well above “solid player”, but he made some pretty horribly racist and homophobic statements after he retired. It was still a shock when he died, though.
1992/ at one glance the cover looked 1982.
Safety tip #1: Don’t be the guy on the cover.
@Didi: More like 1972 or even 1962 with the block letters and one-color printing.
