How to have fun cooking breakfast
Creative Educational Society, Inc.
1974
Doesn’t breakfast look groovy? Evidently kids back then need to understand how to make a bowl of cereal. As a teen in 1974, I don’t remember this being a particular problem, even for younger kids. I think a cookbook for kids and teens is a wonderful topic for a book, but this doesn’t do the job now or in 1974. Despite the groovy clothes, I also don’t see a lot of “fun” happening.

I disagree it didn’t do the job back then but no, it doesn’t work now.
Maybe balancing food on your head and juggling whole plates of pizza is the “fun” part. Until your make you clean the huge mess afterwards while taking the cost of the groceries out of your allowance money.
Those are the most seventies illustrations ever!
I even had the medallion and headband! (Never knew anyone with striped pants like that, though.)
I had flashbacks of my high school wardrobe when looking at those illustrations.
I knew I saw this art somewhere before: a macrame book previously featured on this site.
Why is the mom modeling her bicentennial dress?
Well, in 1974 the bicentennial was just 2 years away. Say, we’re closer NOW to our 250th anniversary, whatever the word for that is
it’s easier when you have a bunch of arms.
