BookCon Update

MindyKaling.BJNovak_SocialWe’re just under one month away from BookCon! BookCon is taking place at the Javits Center in New York City on May 30 and 31, 2015. Mary and I will be live tweeting the event, so be sure to follow us @awfullibbooks. (Follow @thebookcon while you’re at it!)

You can buy tickets here.

I’m getting in the spirit by installing the BookCon app and choosing what panels, author events, and exhibits I want to attend. I’m excited about panels like “We Need Diverse Books Presents In Our World and Beyond,” a discussion of diverse characters in science fiction and fantasy. Then there’s “Mindy Kaling in conversation with BJ Novak.” Funny, right? Definitely not-to-be-missed. I’m also interested in “Comics Are Awesome” with comics writers like Ben Hatke, Jenni Holm, Jeff Smith, and Raina Telgemeier. Over at the exhibits, there is a huge array of publishers, and many will be hosting their authors throughout the weekend for special autographing sessions (stay tuned for that schedule!).

That’s my BookCon plan. So many authors, so many books, SO. MUCH. FUN. Thank you for the opportunity to attend, BookCon!
