One Two Three Pull
Schmid and Praml
2004
This is a fine board book for your average youth collection. Cute story, too. However, I took one look at the front cover and couldn’t stop laughing. I know this says more about me than the book. I did ask around to my co-workers and not one person failed to get the suggestive cover. We have decided to use this as a test in screening future employees.

More Bizarre Kids’ Books:
The pig looks a little too happy to be helping….
The horse even has a censor blur on the back cover…
sorry, i see a rip off of The Great Big Enormous Turnip… i see animal friends helping chicken get a special treat. #childrenslibrarianbrain
This is just another take on “Turnip” or “Big Pumpkin,” but for early readers. Only the librarians (and other grownups) are worried about pulling Chicken’s worm!
At least it isn’t “One Two Three Push!”
